"Curiosity" - Original Watercolor Art

On a deeper level, "Curiosity" is about exploring the duality of human nature. At least, my own, anyway. I find that in some circumstances, I can fierce, courageous, and unyielding. Other times, I can be full of empathy, compassion, and gentleness.I

t took me a long time to realize I can be both things simultaneously and that many people are. We all have so many sides to our deeper selves and it's okay to be multiple things at once.

On a more surface level, this painting is also playful - it's also just a cat being a cat. Curious, interested, always into mischief-cats are kind of like kids in this way.

I love animals and nature and I always have. I like to take concepts and then choose subject matter that interests me. I also love to let the watercolor do what it naturally does - create "blooms" and textures and interesting effects, as opposed to trying to control the medium. This part of painting is pure joy for me.
